CC@S is very unique in that it reconnects the secular tradition of western spirituality to what’s coming next. As this community is so embedded in Stanford, it can really contribute reconciling the potential of the newest technology and research trends with what makes us human.

We got to know CC@S while my wife Elisa was a Fulbright visiting professor at Stanford, in the Management Science and Engineering department. I decided to have a 'full' Silicon Valley experience and went to work for companies in the Bay Area, mostly for the automotive industry, building systems to support the development of smart and automated functions for vehicles. Why did we end up being part of CC@S community? We are Catholic and once we went to Mass at Memorial Church. During that very first Mass, in the bulletin, I read about a course on 'design spirituality' and I thought: wow, finally somebody who is trying to bring innovation to our Church! I took the course and it was a blast! Then, we discovered the Catechesis of the Good Shepherd program. That was another fantastic opportunity, for our kids, to engage with their spirituality in a modern way, adopting a Montessori approach. Our family comes from Reggio Emilia (Italy) and we really understand and appreciate a modern approach to education. Now that our presence in the Bay Area has become more stable, I started to volunteer with helping our CC@S community to grow and express its full potential.
