Joining CC@S leadership as an undergrad shaped so much of who I am today—from informing my choice of career to introducing me to my future spouse.

Inspired in part by the service opportunities I had and the upperclassmen I met through CC@S, I joined the Jesuit Volunteer Corps after graduating, and helped pair trafficking victims and asylum-seekers with pro bono attorneys at a nonprofit in Minnesota. It was hands-down the most transformative year of my life to date. It set me on a professional path that, just two years later, led back to Stanford, where I am now pursuing a JD-MIP joint degree and trying to live out the Catholic Social Teaching values of centering the dignity of the human person each and every day. I am incredibly grateful to be able to continue my studies at a place where I've already built a loving cross-generational community, and I know that—whether I want to have deep philosophical discussions, discuss current events over a glass of wine, or just sing and pray away my stress—I have many people to turn to.
