Stewardship

All we have and all that we are is a gift from God – our time, our talent, our treasure. We show our gratitude for these gifts by returning a portion of them back to God. When we consider our participation in stewardship, we need to include our time and talent, as well as our treasure. Our gifts of time and talent do not substitute for the gifts of our financial resources. Nor do our gifts of treasure substitute for our gifts of time and talent. All are gifts from God.

Several times a year, we ask our community of members, friends and family to commit to stewardship in support of Catholic Community at Stanford. We emphasize Stewardship of Treasure during Fall quarter as that is a time that many find convenient in their own financial planning. We emphasize Stewardship of Time during Winter quarter because it coincides with Lent and many enjoying deepening their commitment to their prayer life then. And we emphasize Stewardship of Talent in Spring Quarter as there are so many great opportunities for service, including Beyond the Farm, in the spring.
