When I was a Stanford Business Student in 1995/1996 (where I was diagnosed by a Classmate as having Impulsive ADHD), I went to daily Mass. Connecting the Dots backways (as Steve Jobs said at Stanford), I can now see that Mass was good for my ADHD and Self to:
· Set aside time for connecting with God and what God is calling me to do
· Create Space for Rest and Recovery
· Connect and Align with my Values
· Express my Uniqueness, Authenticity and the Person God Called me to Be and my Life Purpose
Last year, while a Scholar at the Medical School, I did a 4 week completely Life-Changing course with Fr Xavier that helped me to become aware of God-given Gifts that I was not aware of. It was Xavier's work that made me realize that I must "go out to the ends of the Earth and proclaim the Good News" This is my Call. In addition, I was so Blessed that God introduced my faithful daily life companion, Alicia Restrepo who gets a daily "ringside-seat" in the Miracles God works in my life every day. All of this aided in initiating the Stanford Rebuild - Team Neurodiversity - which led to our Neurodiversity social movement - now 515 Members.
This is what God is calling us all to be: to express our uniqueness and distinctiveness. As my Alma Mater the Stanford GSB says: "Change Lives, Change Organizations, Change the World"
