Coming to Stanford, I was nervous about re-learning how to engage with my faith. I wondered where to go to Mass, if I would get to know any other Catholics, etc. I was moved when a friend from my freshman dorm, Adam, sent an open invitation in the dorm-wide group chat to attend 4:30 pm Sunday Mass. I accepted with excitement, and such an experience has characterized my experience within the Catholic Community at Stanford. I've since strived to be that beacon of kindness that my friend Adam once was and continues to be. I will always be there for the community which has always been there for me.
