“I hope to give back to the CC@S what it has given to me: fellowship, hope, and synodality—a togetherness that I have not found anywhere else quite like this.”

As a newly christened Catholic from an unconventional background, I actively sought the friendship of like-minded students who wished to labor for Christ and expect excellence from themselves, as God does. I found that friendship with the CC@S, which has shown me nothing but love and kindness, supporting me through my varied roles as a lector, synod member, and volunteer app developer. God favors those strong in the faith, but He has promised to protect all of His children, and the inclusivity of the CC@S reflects this aspect of Him admirably. I am grateful for Sr. Regena, Sr. Gloria, Fr. Xavier, Fr. Dominic, Fr. Bob, Aditya Prathap, Adam Siwiec, and DJ Maceda for showing me the beautiful diversity that all Catholics contribute to. To see such a flourishing Catholic community at one of the world’s premier universities gives me confidence in our universal future. To me, Stanford would not be the same without the CC@S.
