This retreat is now full, and sign-ups are closed.
We invite you to join in prayer for God’s blessings on the 20 participants and 4 directors who are participating in this retreat. They will be united in prayer for our community as well!
We often take for granted that we are always moving towards greater freedom in our life’s journey. This is an opportunity to reflect on how we learn to recognize how false “freedom” undermines this process and how we can come to know genuine freedom in God’s love.
Some Comments from Last Autumn’s Silent Retreat:
“I was reminded on the retreat that silence is the portal through which we pass into the presence of the Holy One, and that silence does not occur easily but often requires deliberate sacrifice - certainly so for college students.”
(Vincent, undergrad)
“It also was a true blessing to get to know other students from the Catholic Community at Stanford, and to realize that I am part of a Church which is alive, diverse and searching for being true to the call of Christ in the mission that everyone has. Thanks so much for the opportunity.” (Pablo, GSB)
“Walking through the prayer grounds of the retreat center, I was reminded of how beautiful God’s creation is. I was also reminded that life here on earth is temporary and every day, I should be striving to know and love God more, so that at the end of my journey here on earth, I will go back to His loving embrace.”
(Ofure, grad student)
