Yesterday, two of Jesus’ disciples were hiking the Dish, and they were talking and debating about all the things.
“It’s Earth Day, and no one cares.”
“Today’s Earth Day? I knew it was National Jelly Bean Day.”
“My point exactly.”

On the evening of the first day of the week, the doors were locked, where the disciples were, for fear …. for fear!

Who wouldn’t be afraid? … Jesus was crucified as a threat to religion and state. If you were his disciples, you’d be frightened. You might be next! … But isn’t fear our reality too?

This is crazy talk from Jesus. I mean he started this pipedream sermon on the mountain with “blessed are you when they insult you and persecute you.” Then he compared anger with killing. And now he’s telling us to love our enemies and to be perfect, to give ourselves over to more abuse by offering them the other cheek to hit?! I’m sorry, Jesus, but that’s just crazy talk.
