“Who We Are Is How We Pray”: A Short Seminar on Prayer

Prayer is where we encounter the sacred, where we meet our God. This can be intimidating until we realize two things: God wants to be connected to us, and there are no bad prayers. That having been said, most of us do not pray as often as we would like. This is often because we wonder if God is listening, or because we find our prayer sometimes dry and boring, just fulfilling a perceived obligation. In this short four-week course we will discuss some of the questions we may ask ourselves about God and how those answers inform our prayer. We will learn that there is no such thing as “one size fits all”, and we will explore various ways of praying that feed us as unique individuals. Please email Nancy Greenfield (ngreenfield875@gmail.com) if you have questions or if you wish to receive a Zoom invitation.
