(info updated January 23)
January 27 and February 3, 2024 8:30 am – 12:30 pm
How are we present for the journeys of the people around us, without telling them what to do? In these mornings, we will practice having conversations about faith in relationships that are comfortable so that we can grow into the accompaniment we are called to do in more challenging situations. Be equipped with design-thinking tools and learn from a movement which helps Catholics rekindle their faith, bringing it to the front and center in their career and relationships. We will dive into our personal relationship with God and faith, including reflecting on our persistent questions, our journeys, and where God is calling us to be challenged and galvanized.
Please join year-round community members, grads, and undergrads for “The Accompaniment Project: Help Strengthen the Faith of Others, and of Ourselves” on the mornings of January 27 and February 3, 8:30-12:30.
The Accompaniment Project, which empowers communities with accompaniment resources, experiences, and thought leadership, is based on the insight that when people face challenges in their faith and they are accompanied by someone who listens, they are able to persevere in their search for wisdom and meaning.
Sarah-Marie Chan, a Stanford alumnus, engineer, and the Founder of The Accompaniment Project, is visiting us from Seattle to guide us in opportunities for personal and community formation.
- On January 27, Sarah-Marie will facilitate an exploration of how to live into our questions about God and how we might find spiritual friendship within the diversity of our community.
- On February 3, we will assess our commitments, experience the connection between accompaniment and growth in faith, and imagine the possibilities flowing from the growing relationships around us.
We will leave each morning with personalized challenges and accountability partners with intentional paths towards growth in our relationships with God.
