Join us for "A Woman on a Mission!" a conversation between CC@S community member Tricia Bølle and former CC@S associate pastor Fr. Isaiah Molano, OP.

There is a wealth of experiences and stories in our own CC@S community -- stories that inspire and stories that enlighten.

This 20-30 minute short talk will be followed by an opportunity to meet in small groups and then to ask the speakers questions, all in under an hour.

Stories are a wonderful way to connect us and to support each other along our path of faith. Let's let the light shine.

Tricia Bølle

Tricia Bølle (pronounced “burlah”) has been a Catholic missionary for over 13 years in Asia, helping others encounter the hope, truth and love of Jesus Christ, the beauty of the Catholic faith, and challenging them to live out their unique Christian calling.

She is the founder of the St. Francis Xavier Lay Missionary Society, a lay missionary apostolate dedicated to forming, sending and supporting Catholic lay men and women to share the light and love of Jesus Christ in Asia.

She has spoken extensively on mission, evangelization, and the vocation of the laity around the world from the Pontifical Universities in Rome to the Missionaries of Charity in Calcutta, in grand churches to centuries-old religious congregations as well as in small village underground house churches to the persecuted Church in Asia.

She has faced a lot of adversity in her calling and despite living in poverty, finds hope and joy in her vocation, trusting in God’s Providence and offering bold witness to Christ’s love that both challenges and affirms.

Education: MA in East Asian Studies, Stanford University. Her research was on the early Christian missions to Japan.

She co-founded the first Catholic fellowship for graduate students and young adults. She has been active in the life of the Stanford community for 20 years.

Tricia loves the outdoors (hiking, fishing, camping, mountain biking, scuba diving, gazing at the ocean), dancing, running, reading, drawing, experiencing new cultures, and good food.

Fr. Isaiah Mary Molano, OP

Fr. Isaiah is the current local superior of the Dominican Friars in the Southern California region. His first assignment as a priest was the associate director of CC@S, from 2010-2013. He arrived a week after Lourdes Alonso. Early in his time at the University, he would inquire with Tricia about her work in Asia.

Once in San Francisco, he joined the Board of the Saint Francis Xavier Lay Missionary Society. He has traveled to El Salvador, Guatemala, Mexico, Hong Kong, the Philippines and Rome.

One of his passions is to recognize the voice of Christ within popular culture.
