Newman Night: Discernment

  • Old Union, CIRCLE Common Room (3rd floor) 520 Lasuen Mall Stanford, CA, 94305 United States (map)

All are welcome to our next Newman Night, "What Am I Going to Do with My Life? A Jesuit Guide to Discernment." Father Kevin O'Brien, S.J. will introduce basic principles of discernment in the Jesuit tradition, which Pope Francis so often speaks about. These principles can help us make big and small decisions about our lives in prayerful and thoughtful ways.

Father O'Brien is Dean of the Jesuit School of Theology of Santa Clara University. Before coming to the Bay area in August, he served for eight years at Georgetown University in a variety of roles. He is the author of the award-winning book, The Ignatian Adventure: Experiencing the Spiritual Exercises of St. Ignatius in Daily Life.

Go to www.ignatianspirituality.com to buy the book or to explore an online adaptation that can be used as a personal retreat for Lent or other times of spiritual renewal.
