The Year Round Community of Stanford Catholic is putting together a new regular group meeting of people who are interested in, studying, or working in the Biotech field. This would include undergrads, graduate students, and members of our year-round community as well. We are hoping to talk about possible ethical and moral conundrums and challenges facing those doing research in academia, as well as in industry. We’re thinking this meeting will last about an hour.

From organizer Bob Koelle:

My background in organizing this group is a 30+ year career with pharma companies large and small, East and West coasts, almost all dealing with drug safety and regulatory compliance. I enjoy talking about drug research and development. If you’re interested in joining such a group, which would meet perhaps monthly or quarterly, please send an email to stanford.catholic.biotech@gmail.com, indicating your interest. Let us know how often you think such a group should meet, and please indicate any areas for discussion, and if you would like to lead a discussion on that topic. If needed or requested, we can also expand the discussions and transition to other topics such as Artificial Intelligence. I anticipate the first meeting at the end of September, or early October.

Thank you!
