STRENGTH — FASTING
Suggested Disciplines:
fasting from food or treats
fasting from social media one day per week or more
go outside-add a walk, run, cycling to your weekly routine
give up fast food or eating out
make coffee at home (give up the expensive espresso drinks)
take steps to address habitual sins (alcohol & substance abuse, pornography and other sins against purity, excessive gambling)
MIND — ALMSGIVING
Suggested Disciplines:
Giving your mind to God:
read the daily reflection in Magnificat
read a chapter of the bible
choose a spiritual book to read throughout lent
read the life of a saint each day
spend one hour each day researching a faith topic
participate in a CC@S small group
Almsgiving:
participate in the CRS Rice Bowl campaign
serve food at St. Anthony's dining room
prepare breakfast for Opportunity Center with CC@S
give money saved from fasting to a charity
SOUL — PRAYER
Suggested Disciplines:
go to Mercy Night (February 19, 2026 at 7 PM)
participate in a daily holy hour (M-F 8-9 AM in OU304)
add daily mass to your routine (M-F 12:30 PM)
go to confession
form a prayer group with a few friends
participate in adoration Ttue 9-10 PM in Mem Chu, and Thur 9-10 PM 3rd floor sanctuary in Old Union)
say a daily rosary or divine mercy chaplet
