Dr. Janelle O’Malley

Janelle O’Malley is a professional organist, educator, and choral conductor whose work is deeply rooted in the belief that music can profoundly connect and uplift a community. Trained at the highest level of organ performance and liturgical tradition, Janelle holds a Bachelor of Music, a Master of Music, and a Doctor of Musical Arts from the University of Michigan.

Dr. O’Malley has served in both regional and national settings, having directed liturgy and music within the San Francisco Bay Area. Her tenure in California followed twenty years in Ann Arbor, Michigan, where she served as the Director of Music at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church.

As an Adjunct Associate Professor and University Organist at Concordia University, she taught music theory and organ performance. She also served as a consultant for the Diocesan Office of Worship in Lansing, offering guidance to nearly 100 parishes on how to enrich their liturgical traditions.

A proud grandmother of three, Janelle lives in Menlo Park with her husband, Kevin.
